Except Ye See

ficcpastor@yahoo.com
Dec 21 2007 12:00AM

Greetings Saints,

It has been some time since I have been able to sit down and write to you. I want to first of all wish you a very merry Christmas and Happy new year! I believe you prosper and abound as never before in 2008!

Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. John 4:48

This is taken from the record of the nobleman seeking Jesus to heal his son who was evidently at the point of death.

I often wondered why Jesus made that statement to him, and to us since it is scripture.

We must look at Mark 11:24 in order to understand.

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24

Jesus was teaching us the ways of the Kingdom of God are not like the ways of natural man on earth. Natural man needs to see before he will believe, and even then sometimes he still refuses to believe. But the general rule is that he says (or thinks) he wants to see before he will believe.

In churches everywhere today, people pray and then when they see the answer they believe that God has answered their prayer. Whereas Jesus was stating that we must believe based on the Word, at the time of prayer, no matter what these physical, temporary eyes are seeing.

So he was saying to the nobleman, and to us, unless we see, we still operate in the natural mans ways and do not believe.

It is our responsibility as Christians, the family of God, to begin to retrain our thinking and actions based on Kingdom ways and no longer on the old mans ways. We must begin to believe based on the Word and not on circumstance nor situation, nor appearances.

This is ultimately what the nobleman did. He believed the Word of the Lord . Then started towards his home knowing that his son would die if Jesus did not do what He promised him. Ahhh, but our God is faithful!!!

The next day he received word that his son was healed at the time he believed the Word spoken by the master! Hallelujah!

Will you operate in the worlds way, believing your prayer is answered when you see it, or Gods way by believing at the time you pray based on the word of Gods promises?!?

It is up to us. The more skilled we become at seeing with our inner eyes of our spirit instead of temporary eyes of flesh, the more victory we will walk in.

Get into the Word this year, know who you are and what is yours. Refuse to let satan hold you back from all God has for you. You are more than a conqueror in Christ, you are now the head and never again the tail! The Lord always gives you the victory through Jesus Christ, take it! Walk in it, refuse to allow anything else, it is yours!

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 2 Cor 1:20

Love you all so much, please let me hear from you.
