Greetings Dear Saints,
It is always a pleasure to write you! As the Lord states in Jer 29:11, I also am thinking good thoughts of you and big plans for the coming days and years ahead. There is nothing impossible to you as a believer. Mk 9:23
Is it possible to believe but yet have unbelief also in your life? I say yes, we are all at different levels of our faith walk. To really believe as the Bible describes believing, one would have perfect results every time. Anything short of the desired results can only be attributed to a lack of faith and never the Lords fault.
We find an example of this in Mark 9: 23-24 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief
His confession was; "Lord, I believe…"..so belief is present. But he also recognized shortcomings in this same area asking for help to believe more.
So again I say, yes, it is possible to believe and yet have unbelief at the same time. You certainly can have a portion while yet having room for more! This is the idea here. We may be well on our way in our faith walk, but there is always room for more!
How do we know? Well, until you consistently move mountains, you are not yet entirely there, or until you heal all, you are still not yet there, or until you provide for the masses without lack, having some left over, you are short of the divine call and plan of God, yet still a believer at some level.
This is not to condemn us but to inspire us to greater heights in Him. New levels of victories as the scriptures say, from glory to glory! Hallelujah!
Look at these various translations to help you better understand:
Contemporary English Version Mark 9:23-24 - Jesus replied, "Why do you say `if you can'? Anything is possible for someone who has faith!" Right away the boy's father shouted, "I do have faith! Please help me to have even more."
Youngs Literal Translation Mark 9:23-24 - And Jesus said to him, `If thou art able to believe! all things are possible to the one that is believing;' and immediately the father of the child, having cried out, with tears said, `I believe, sir; be helping mine unbelief.'
NI Readers Version Mark 9:23-24 - "If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for the one who believes." Right away the boy's father cried out, "I do believe! Help me overcome my unbelief!"
And finally:
Worldwide English New Testament Mark 9:23-24 - Jesus said to him, `You say, "If you can." Anything can be done for the person who believes.' Right away the father of the child, with tears in his eyes, said loudly, `I do believe! Help me to believe more!'
Confess this with me; I am a believer and not a doubter. I can do all things because all things are possible to me as a believer in Christ. I cannot fail. I cannot be sick. I have no lack in my life. I believe I receive and therefore I cannot nor will not be ashamed nor disappointed. Jesus is my Lord and I rest in His faithfulness believing every promise is yes to me and so be it!
