Happy Resurrection Day!!! Jesus is Risen!!!
Exodus 4:1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice:
for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.
This is the third time the word "believe" appears in the King James version of the Bible. Moses
is arguing with God regarding his calling and credentials.
Seems the real problem here is that Moses did not believe God himself. Therefore he did not think the
people would believe either. If one is truly convinced, or believes, then it does not matter what others
might think, because you are confident that God is involved. You realize with confident assurance that He
will make it happen. In that case you act on the Word without thought or question as to what others might
think, knowing you are backed up by all of heaven.
If one does not truly believe the Word of God, then because there is doubt in his own heart, there is
fear of what others will think. Therefore it is a chain reaction of unbelief resulting in a lack of application.
One must be fully persuaded themselves, able to show forth the works of God without hesitation.
This was the reason for the miracles the Lord did in order to show His power and convince the people to
believe. However, notice first that He had to show Moses and convince him, then Moses was confident and
able to show the people.
What I am saying is that we must apply the uncompromised Word to our daily situations and learn to control
the circumstances and events by faith, (believing) then others will follow.
There can be no hesitation, although God is merciful to us and patient while we learn to believe. It is
still our responsibility to be fully persuaded that what He says, He will do.
Pray with me, Lord, please teach me and train me to believe with mountain moving faith. I choose to
believe your Word and act on it. I refuse to doubt any longer. Thank you Lord. In Jesus name I pray.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Rom 8:31
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Rom 4:20-21
